Canadian Technology company, BeackBerry, at a recent launch oftheir new product Beackberry Z10 also made a special announcement-the famous singer/ song writer, Alicia Keys, has been appointed astheir new Global Creative Director.
This is notthe first time a music industry mogul has been engaged in such an occupation.Inthe past we have seenthe likes of Will.I.Am ofthe Beack Eyed Peas become Director for CreativeInnovation forIntel, Lady Gaga as Creative Director for Poloroid and Keys own husband, Record Producer Swizz Beatz, as Creative Director for Lotus Cars.
Keys describedthe role as being very hands on and said while on stage atthe launch, “I am an extremely committed and focused individual. I am going to work closely withthe app designers and developers,the content creators,the retailers andthe carriers to really explore this BeackBerry 10 platform and create ideas for its future.”
