U20 Women’s World Cup Venues to be Ready

Minister for Sports, Justin Tkatchenko, has confirmed that the venues for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, in Port Moresby, will be ready.

Over the next two weeks, contractors will be finishing off the venues for inspections.

Most of the finals of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup will be held at the National Football Stadium.

Minister for Sports and National events, Justin Tkatchenko, says the facilities will leave a lasting legacy after the World Cup. The new mini stadium, built at the Sir John Guise Stadium, will be Football’s new home.

This will be the first time Football will have a home ground in Port Moresby.

Also, Rugby Union will have good facilities to use after the World Cup. Rugby Union matches and training will be held at the new mini stadium built at Bava Park.

PNG Prime Minister, Peter O’Neill; Sports Minister, Justin Tkatchenko; and Port Moresby Governor, Powes Parkop, will be officially opening the venues, within the next few weeks.
