Oil Search Limited Commits to Improving Lives

One of Papua New Guinea’s largest employers and investors has just committed to improving the lives of communities through its foundation over the next five years.

Oil Search Limited this week announced funding of K185 million to the Oil Search Foundation, specifically for work in the fields of health, leadership and education, and women’s protection and empowerment.

According to Oil Search Foundation CEO, Kymberley Kepore, the support from Oil Search now secures the future of the foundation to make a difference in communities where they are present.

“Oil Search’s continued financial commitment confirms the importance of the foundation’s work to the sustainable development of PNG, and it highlights the success of our programmes in changing and improving the lives of Papua New Guineans,” Kepore said.

Oil Search Managing Director, Peter Botten, says the foundation represents a key component to Oil Search’s commitment to the sustainable development of PNG.

“As PNG’s largest company, Oil Search believes conducting business in a socially responsible manner is a strategic and moral imperative. The foundation represents a key component to Oil Search’s commitment to the sustainable development of PNG,” Botten said.
