12 month after its appearance at the Pacific Games, beach volleyball had all but gone into hiding. However, it is slowly finding its way back up.
Beach Volleyball spokesperson Kila Dick said the sport had financial support towards the Pacific Games, but now more funds were needed to help the code and representatives attend international events.
He is encouraging players to come forward and for individual representatives to start beach volleyball competitions in preparation for international events.
Dick, who strongly believes in human development in the country, says sport plays an integral part in this, and people should take initiative in such activities to promote sport in the country.
