Singapore U21 Netball Team Departs

In Netball, the Singapore U21 netball team departed today after three days of friendly matches against the PNG team.

The matches over the weekend saw PNG coming out on top winning the three-game series 2-1.

The matches proved quite challenging for both teams.

Singapore U21 team captain, Tan Shi Ni, found the friendlies rewarding as there were only five experienced players in her team.

The matches over the weekend have given the rest of her team the exposure they needed.

Meanwhile, Singapore coach Joanne Kyra Loo was thankful to the PNG Netball Federation for giving her team the opportunity to travel here for the matches.

Kyra Loo added, similar to PNG, selections will continue for Singapore for the World Cup in September in Auckland.

The Singapore team departed this afternoon for their home base.
