Preparations for the East New Britain Rugby Football Union’s 15’s season are on track, and will commence later in the month.
President of the ENBRFU, Hubert Maniana has already confirmed, that eight to ten teams will take part in the 2015 ENBRFU 15’s competition.
“Once clubs have confirmed and registered, and operational issues are settled, the competition should commence, in the next 2 weeks.”
ENBRFU will begin the year with the rollout of the annual 15’s competition, in accordance with the PNG Rugby Football Union calendar.
Maniana said, the 7’s program will begin towards the end of the year, after the conclusion of the 15’s tournament.
Rugby union in the province will continue to strive, as the affiliation is adamant in maintaining the Pacific in Union, curriculum based development program.
Since the introduction of the development program last year, ENBRFU has identified and continues to develop school girls, within the code.
