Parramatta Eels Crush Manly in Perfect Start to 2015 Season

The Parramatta Eels have produced the perfect start to their 2015 season campaign, crushing the Manly Sea Eagles, 42 to 12.

In an explosive encounter, fiery to everyone’s expectation, the Eels led by their forward pack hit hard and dominated from the middle of the park.

The Eels had no problem starting the season with a bang, without former star full back, Jarryd Hayne.

The match got off to a heated start, ex-manly, now turned eel, Anthony Watmough, was at his usual best, running hard in the forwards.

Parramatta started the game strong with blockbuster winger Semi Radradra crossing the line in the 7th minute. And later Hopoate from a pass from Chris Sandow, shaped to pass and got in between defenders to make it 10 – 0 after 16 minutes.

The Sea Eagles struck back with Foran combining well with Brett Stewart to get the score back 10 – 6. Manly brought the score line closer, scoring in the left hand corner with Blair bringing in Manly’s second try.

However, when the Sea Eagles looked to be taking control of the match, Radrada grabbed his second try, in the first half, giving the Parramatta Eels a handy 16 – 12 lead, at the break.

In the second half the eels proved too strong for the sea eagles and ran in four more tries and sealed the games 42 points to 12 that sees them draw with level with the impressive Rabbitohs with more than 30 point differential in their season opener.
