The Cancer Foundation announced the start of the 2015 Movember Campaign as part of Men’s Cancer Awareness Month, in Port Moresby today.

The Campaign was launched by Imelda Agon, CEO of National Gaming Board Control and Cancer Foundation PNG’s CEO, Dadi Toka Jr.

The Movember campaign aims to encourage men of Papua New Guinea to converse about cancer and educate them on how they can protect themselves and their families from the disease.

In support of the men’s cancer awareness in PNG, Imelda Agon, on behalf of the Nation Gaming Control Board, officially presented a cheque of K32,000.

The foundation will utilise the funds to run a Men’s Cancer Awareness Workshop here in Port Moresby.

The workshop will take place on the 9th of November at the Grand Papua Hotel.

The workshop be hosted by Professor Ian Olver, a cancer researcher, bioethicist and medical oncologist with senior posts in Australia and abroad.
