The training on the process of creating and implementing economic policies in Papua New Guinea ended in Port Moresby today, with a graduation ceremony for the 32 participants.
Six weeks ago, these participants commenced the training with individual goals to master how economic policies can be used to get a desirable outcome in their respective fields.
Adrian Kanau is one participant. He is a public servant attached with the Department of Health in Port Moresby.
Mr. Kanau said the training gave him a better understanding on the process of how polices are formed and implemented.
“The EPAC is a 25 year old training, and has participants from the public and the private sectors,” Adrian said.
“It is gives me an understanding of how economic policies are designed and implemented in Papua New Guinea,” he added.
The Economic Policy Analysis Workshop Course commenced in 1989 and targets middle level administrators and those in management levels.

The graduation was celebrated in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of EPAC and the launch of EPAC Alumna.
