Prime Minister, Peter O’Neill, has reiterated his government’s commitment in meeting the state commitments under the PNG LNG Project Agreements.
In a statement directed to the member for Koroba Lake Kopiago, Philip Undialu, he said that all landowner royalties are safeguarded at a trust account in the Central Bank.
The question on when royalty payments for PNG LNG landowners is to be disbursed was raised again, and this time it was in parliament yesterday by member for Koroba Lake Kopiago.
Philip Undialu asked the Prime Minister if he is aware of several petitions by Hides landowners from Komo. He also questioned the Prime Minister on how much was held by the government.
Mr.Undialu also wanted to know what has become of the outstanding K19 million Business Development Grant and MoA projects outstanding.
Prime Minister, Peter O’Neill, stated to the member, and the landowners, that all payments will be made once all outstanding court issues are resolved.
The Prime Minister announced that he will be visiting the Highlands in the coming weeks, and part of his visit will be to launch the Komo to Tari road which comes under the MoA project agreement.
