Nothern Province was last to hand in its 2013 budget and first to submit its 2012 annual financial report.
The provincial treasurer and administrator gavethe detailed report to Governor Gary Juffa, whothen presented it to Treasury.
Treasury Secretary Steven Gibson has now called on ther provincial governments to submittheir annual financial reports beforethe end of March.
Meantime, when handing overthe financial reportoMr. Juffa saidthe Auditor General’s Office has been notiflied to investigate possible fraud.
Nothern Province’s 2012 budget was K93m. This year, it has significantly increased.
Mr. Juffa saidthe province is now focused on strenthening its internal revenue streams; more specificallythe Oil Palm shares and imposing fines and fees for business regulations. These are expected to boost internal revenues to K100m.
