DWU Graduation: No Boundaries in Education

Atthe Divine Word University’s graduation on Sunday,the first diploma for the last found tribe in Papua New Guineathe Hagahai.

Located inland of Madang,the Hagahai’s were first located inthe 1980’s by missionaries.

Over one thousand actually graduated outside DWU campus wherethe University has affiliations.

About eight hundred graduated here and Emmanuel Arua was one ofthem. He is one ofthe two person’s living with disabilities to have completed a Bechelor ofInformation Systems.

Junior Kilua is anther with Bechelor in Rural Health.

Arua also receivedthe best Digicel award for the final year ITservices project.

Togther with Arua, Benjamin Ngangan is anther special recipient. He isthe first educated person from what is known asthe last found tribe oPNG,the Hagahai.

They live in a corner ofthe boundaries of four provinces including Madang, Western Highlands, Enga and Eastern Highlands.
