The Australian Government has pavedthe way for more Papua New Guinea’s to apply and study in Australia.
It’ll be throughthe Australian AwardPNGInformation Centre, opened on Friday by head of Australian Aid in PNG Stuart Schaefer and Higher Education Minister David Arore.
Since 2003, Australia has provided more than 1,800 scholarships to Papua New Guineas to study.
The Australian Awards information centre will now futher assist Papua New Guinea’s intheir endeavours for tertiary education in Australia anPNG.
The awards demonstratethe enduring link between Australia anPNG.
Head of Australian Aid Stuart Schaefer saidthe scholarship awards will provide provide men and women with skills and knowledge to drive change.
The scholarships are also designed to helPNG government inthe priority areas of health, education, infrastructure and law and order and rural economic development.
Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology Minister David Arore’said this is an ideal offshore opportunity forPNG
The centre is equipped with institutional handbooks and internet access to help applicants’ research courses.
The centre is located in Port Tower, Port Moresby and is open Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm.
