Early State of Origin celebrations gone abrupt

Early celebrations tothe State of Origin came to an abrupt end in Port Moresby for five people, two ofthem females.

 

They were involved in an accident at Waigani where Police found bottles of beer intheir vehicle.

Constable James Nare, AccidentInvestigator was first onthe scene. On inspection he found bottles of beer, indicating an early celebration gone wrong.

 

He wasted no time to conveythe message of illegal drink driving and state of origin gtherings.

 

“This accident happened due to drinking and driving as an early celebration ofthe State of Origin Decider. The game in played in Australia but we Papua New Guineas are going crazy in supporting our teams”, said Constable James.

 

All five occupants, three males and two females suffered minor injuries. The driver was detained and taken to Beroko Police station for questioning.

 

Police are taking this accident as a queue to what might happen during or afterthe decider ofthe Origin.
