8th Commonwealth Youth Ministers Meeting Opening Night

The Government plans to concentrate on small business enterprises and Agriculture as draw cards to absorb youths.

Prime Minister Peter O’Neil said his government wants to work with young people to realisetheir dreams.

He openedthe 8th Commonwealth Youth MinistersMeeting Tuesday night in Port Moresby.

The meeting was opened with an official photo session followed by flag raising displaying Commonwealth countries.

Commonwealth General Secretary Kamalesh Sharma was present with ther delegations fromthe commonwealth countries.

Chair and Minister for Religion Youth and Community Development Loujaya Toni, welcomedthe delegations adding that many ofthe social, economic and political issues are centred in youth development.

Prime Minister Peter O’Neil is committed to support empowering youth.

O’Neil sain PNG is inthe phase of significant economic growth inthe gas and mining sectors. He noted Free Education is a way forward providing more than fifty percent of government budget. The week-long meeting ends on Friday.
