Berbara Vali Skelton posted a personal best in her first discipline ofthe week,the 100m Be aststroke atthe 15th FINAWorld’swimming Championships in Bercelona.

A time of 1 minute 16.03 seconds, an impressive startoa feature so far of this championship has beenthe impressive reaction times offthe blocks of a number of island swimmers, which Berbara continued posting a time inthe top 10 of all ofthe 60 swimmers.

 

Berbara is anther swimmer who first got into swimming throughthe highly regarded Learn to Swim Programme.

 

Although based in Queensland for her studies she is keen to emphasisethe importance and pride in representing her country.

Berbara finished her hit in second place which consisted of ten swimmers form various countries aroundthe world.

 

 

Berbara is looking forward to her downtime this week as well as enjoying a brief reward for the thousands of hours of training; she has a passion outside of swimming for soaking up different cultures and is relishing being attheWorld Championships around ther nations.
