Parliament Clerk Visits Tauruba Village, Central Province

The speaker of parliament has made a commitment of K30 thousand tothe Tauruba Elementary and Primary schools and health center inthe Central Province.

Theo Zurenuoc said this is to improverthe infrastructurethere.

The speaker visited Tauruba village withthe Clerk of Parliament Vela Konivaro and Rigo MP and Minister for Agriculture Ano Pala.

A heavy convoy escortedthe delegation, rousing a home coming welcome which was awaitingthe new Clerk of Parliament and accompanying visitors.

The speaker made a K30 thousand pledge to improverthe education and health centre infrastructure. These arethe most important services for this community. It was a proud moment for the people.

Minister Ano Pala and Mr. Konevaro are both from Tauruba. Mr. Pala was once a Clerk of Parliament himself andthen went on to become a member of parliament.

The clerk told his people not to expect too much fromthe government but to make do with whatthey were allocated with.

Gifts were given tothe visitors in form of pigs, turtle meat and garden food. Tauruba village is inthe Rigo district ofthe Central Province.
