The newly established Hela Province now has a Team,the Hela Wigman inthe 2013 Digicel Cup.
Hela Provincial Representttative and followers of Rugby league in Hela Province met withtheir Governor and Patron ofthe Team Anderson Agiru for the announcement ofthe Hela Wigman into this year’s Digicel Cup competition.
Chairman forthPNG National Rugby league committee Sudir Guru had doubts aboutthe team’s return but was impressed withtheir time and effort into winningthe bid.
A businessman from Southern Highlands, Firman Joseph ofthe Kemele Constructions had come on board to supportthe Hela Wigman.
The forty men team is now in Mendi and will go into its trials overthe weekend for the top twenty five men squad to participate inthe forthcoming Digicel Cup competition.
