The Eastern Highlands Provincial Administration has stepped in with one hundred thousand kina to assistthe Kainantu Urban LLG with its water crises.
Deputy Provincial Administrator Solomon Tato visited Kainantu District officers to handoverthe cheque and get firsthand information ofthe situation faced bythe small town and its people.
Mr Tato said residents must have access to uninterrupted clean water supply.
Kainantu District Administrator Jeffery Kokorime when receivingthe cheque said hospital and ther institutions were closed because of insufficient supply of clean usable water.
Mr Kokorime assured thatthe money will be allocated purposely to end this water crisis.
