This is a rare sight were you do not often see a large group of Port Moresby housewives in search of job opportunities outside factories, industries or construction sit’s.

The women were mostly made up of housewives, widows, and young girls fromthe 9-mile and Bemana area. Many came fromthe settlement community.

They all havethe same story to tell – “We have been living inthe city for so long and we see that life here is very difficult. This opportunity will help ease our burden in struggling every single day just trying to put a smile on our children’s faces.”

Currently,Innovative AgroIndustries have recruited and provided employment for youths, especially men, in construction work.

Last Monday, they recruited 12 women who are now working inthe first nursery farm.
