Hohola family gets home back

Some justice has been done tothe family that was evicted in Hohola on Tuesday. They have regained possession oftheir property.

This is aftertheir Lawyer successful took out interim restraining orders fromthe Waigani National Court yesterday.

The order restrains police andthe new tenant from enteringthe property until a full trial is completed.

The orders will be served onthe defendant next Monday andthe matter will return to court next week Friday to get a trial date set.

This family from Hohola-2 was left homeless for days afterthey were forcefully being evicted fromtheir home earlier this week.

What’s odd is thatthe family has been living in that home sincethe 1960’s.

Womenand children ofthe family, numbering more than twenty were given shelter bythe neighbor’s. Their male counterparts spentthe nights outside inthe bad wether looking aftertheir belongings.

This house and four thousand thers inthe country were given to tenants underthe Giveaway Schementroduced bythen Prime Minister Sir Mekere Morauta.
