The National Youth Soccer Tournament for Girls will be held next month in Port Moresby.
This will be the first time a national soccer tournament will be held outside of the Momase region since the establishment of the Soccer Academy in Lae.
A good number of member associations have registered for the tournament and more have shown interest.
The Nation’s Capital will play host to the National Soccer Youth Championships for Girls at the Institute of Public Administration next month.
Niugini Table Birds have also come on board to support the staging of the tournament.
Member Associations around the country have shown great interest in participating apart from major centers of Lae and Madang, and are to field a team for either or both the U-15s or U-18s respectively.
The soccer fraternity in Port Moresby will also have the chance to witness and host a soccer tournament.
The tournament will showcase the young pool of soccer talent as well as growth of Women’s Soccer in the country.
