Gobe Gas Landowners Invest Into Communication

Gobe Gas Landowners from PDL 4 in the Southern Highlands Province are investing in communication as part of delivering much needed services to their people.

The landowner company, Mainland Supply Services Contractor has engaged Inter Pacific Allied Communication Company to install a communication transmitter in the area.

The first payment was completed today.

Present at the occasion were the representatives of PDL 4 Landowners in the Southern Highlands province, to witness the presentation of money to IPAC Limited. IPAC Ltd is a nationally-owned company who will install a communication transmitter in the area.

The landowners see communication as an important asset to development.

With the growing amount of communication gadgets available today, and in appreciating the need to have such services at the doorstep of all Papua new Guineans, they feel their people need to have access and be link with the outside world.

The Landowners under the company, the Mainland Supply Services Contractor, made a first installment payment of K300, 000, from a total of K2.1 million, which was needed to complete the project.

The project will benefit a population of more than 6,000 people who have been denied this service for a long time.

A rural electrification project will also be rolled out under thorough guidance and partnership with PNG Power.

This will be a new chapter for the people of Gobe, and through this landowner company, MSSC, it will continue to flag up important agendas and work in partnership with developer, Oil Search and the National Government.

The Landowners want the work to begin as soon as possible.
