Jiwaka Province Counting

According to the Police Commander, Superintendent Simon Nigi, counting in the Jiwaka Province is progressing well and will be returned before the return of writs.

Residents have been asked not to enquire at the counting centres as all results will be relayed through the local radio stations.

Superintendent Nigi told the people, holding a curfew would be the last option if people misbehaved during the counting period.

Generally, polling has been conducted successfully, while counting is also progressing well.

He has urged candidates and their supporters to behave during the counting period and to accept whatever the outcome will be after the counting.
