Djorn aims for 6 Red title

PNG, for the first time will witness the 6- Red Snooker title to be held this Wednesday in Port Moresby.

It is a new concept with the same snooker rules but is fast and exciting.

PNG Snooker Champ Djorn Fong is now on the lookout.

This 23 year old from Kavieng Djorn Fong will be among the other 56 players challenging for the 6-Red Title.

Fong has won every title on offer. He won his sixth consecutive BSP POM Snooker Open in April and the PNG Men’s national title during independence weekend. Fong also won the Port Moresby Billiards title for the fourth consecutive year.

Gifted with cue sports, Fong is sure to get some opposition from fellow PNG Representatives.

The 6-Red competition is shorter and faster and a missed opportunity can be costly.

Tournament director Richard Whitchurch said the game is faster and exciting and anybody can win this inaugural event.

Registration of K150 closes tomorrow follows by a briefing.

The question now is…..can Djorn Fong add the PNG Red Snooker title to his growing collection of Silverware?
