Charlotte Church is “like a kid” because she's so excited about her future. The Welsh songstress has been out of the limelight of late; instead concentrating on a number of intimate shows across the UK.
Charlotte is looking forward to reigniting her music career, especially after a successful low-key performance in front of a Hay Festival crowd of just 150 people last week.
“She was very happy with her performance and said it was the most relaxed she'd ever been on stage. She's working really hard to get musical success the same way other artists do – gigging to build up a following, and keeping her private life separate” a source told British magazine Closer.
“She's so excited about the future, she's like a kid!”
Charlotte has hit headlines in the past for her turbulent personal life. The mother-of-two – who is currently dating musician Jonathan Powell – is now keen to concentrate on her music.
“Charl loved being on stage recently, and her music has been getting attention,” an insider added.
“She says she needs to give up smoking to get her voice totally perfect, but loved kicking back after the Hay performance with the other musicians.”
