Foster Parents Take Abandoned Baby Home

by Rachel Shisei – EM TV News, Madang

The abandoned baby girl has at last gone home with her foster parents, this past weekend.

Report from the Modilon hospital nursery workers said, the baby has been in their gentle care for a little over two months, before her foster parents came and took her home.

According to the Nursery’s Manager, Terry Alois, the baby’s foster parents are an expatriate couple who are currently in the country and province, who have been visiting the little girl at the nursery and providing for most of her needs from time to time.

There’s word that this is the second abandoned baby that the couple is adopting, the first being in the nation’s capital.

Meantime the remaining baby girl from the triplets consisting of a boy and two girls is doing well at this time, after the Nursery, suspected of being contaminated with infections was fumigated last week.

Her brother and sister couldn’t be saved from severe septic infections, despite desperate attempts by the nursery workers.
