From New Ireland Province, the singing group will take part in a global meeting for the Seventh – Day Adventist faith in Texas, United States of America.
The Emirau Praise group consists of 108 singers from the Emirau Island of Kavieng District.
The group will perform two of its favorites in Texas and raise the PNG flag.
The singing group is backed by Kavieng MP and State Enterprise Minister Ben Micah.
Micah said the group is renowned for its harmonious songs throughout New Ireland and the country and will do its best to represent PNG in USA.
The group will start travelling this weekend with the first half travelling to USA via Fiji. While the second half travels next week. The singing group will return to PNG a week before the Pacific Games end.
Today the group graced an occasion between the Seventh-Day Adventist Church of PNG and EMTV, Media Niugini Limited.
