by Fabian Hakalits – EM TV, Port Moresby

The Turubu Oil Palm Project, in East Sepik Province, is in the spot light again, this time by Turubu Oil Palm Project and Turubu Local Level Government.

Representatives from both parties supported the Opposition Leader – Don Polye’s question in the recent Parliament siting, about the K50 million, that was earmarked for the Sepik Plains Agro industry Project.

They told EM TV News that the funds earmarked for the Sepik Plains did not capture the Turubu Oil Palm Project.

In a media conference this afternoon, these funds were queried again, calling on the Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister, Richard Maru, to explain where this public money was spent.

It was also claimed that what was presented by Mr Maru in the recent Parliament session was not true.

Limawu Holdings Limited Secretary, Willie Nilmo, also brushed aside critics that Limawu Holdings Limited was a foreign owned company.

However, he maintained, it’s the project is for the people of this nation.
