By Jeremy Mogi – EM TV Sport, Port Moresby

The 2015 Telikom National Soccer League will make history on Saturday, when two brand new franchise teams take centre stage in the grand final.

With the Hekari United Football club, out of the grand final for the first time in 10 years; new leaders in PNG football have now emerged. Lae City Dwellers will host Madang FC, in what is expected to be a memorable game of football.

The Dwellers will be led by talismanic Captain, Raymond Gunemba, and prolific goal-scoring partner, Nigel Dabinyaba. Both players were instrumental in their semi-final victory over FC Port Moresby, in Madang.

Lae City will be heading in as favourites, with the home crowd support behind them, with a full-strength squad all in top form. In a discussion on EMTV’s Hot Spot program, Himson Daniel, former Hekari, Oro and Eastern Stars player, spoke of Lae’s dynamic duo.

Madang FC will be out in full force; with creative midfielder Alwin Komolong, who had a hand in almost all of goals against Hekari, a powerful weapon for the team.

In their last meeting, Lae ended up victorious by three goals to two. On the other hand, Madang who were thrashed by Hekari only three weeks prior, but came back hard to claim victory against the champions, have enough self-belief to win.
