By Lorraine Genia – EM TV Sport, Port Moresby

The Bisini Parade will be the centre point for field Sport in Papua New Guinea, after the completion of construction work.

Head of VIEC, Paul Stargroth, has confirmed eight of the 10 fields have already been seeded with grass, and the process should be complete in the following weeks. Toilet facilities, changing rooms, and grandstands are nearing completion.

Stargroth said, once the sporting infrastructures are complete, they will be maintained in top condition.

Sport Minister, Justin Tkatchenko, who was on site the Bisini Parade yesterday, said, the Bisini Parade will be one of the many venues in Port Moresby that will contribute to the long term development of Sport in Papua New Guinea, and eventually the Oceania region.

By the 31st of May, the Bisini Parade will be handed over to the Games Organising Committee, for further operations to proceed, in the lead up to the 2015 Pacific Games.
