Madang has reported another homicide case, where police in the province have arrested a man, suspected of murdering his own wife.
The husband is now behind bars at the Jomba Police Station, as police investigations continue, into the death of the woman.
Following the death, local police have focused their attention on the husband of the deceased. According to eye witnesses in Madang, “the incident was a result of domestic violence that happened over the weekend.”
The deceased’s body is now at the Modilon General Hospital morgue awaiting a post mortem by the Madang Criminal Investigation Division.
According to the CID Unit, witnesses were called in for interview today in relation to the death.
After the post mortem, a full report is expected to be released by the investigators that will help to reveal the cause of death.
This is the first reported death for Madang, for 2015.
