Kimbe Builds Soccer Academy Facility

The partnership between West New Britain Province, and FIFA will see the construction of a Soccer Academy Facility in the provincial capital.

Glen Turner from the Oceania Football Regional FIFA Development Office, visited Kimbe recently, to inspect the progress of work done.

 

While visiting the foundation of the facility, Mr Turner thanked the enthusiasm by the provincial government, to co-fund the project.

 

Meanwhile Governor Sasindran Muthuvel, said Kimbe is privilege to have the academy establish for the New Guinea Islands Region, as it will lift the standards of the code in the province.

 

Mr Muthuvel expressed his thanks that FIFA is genuine enough to include other sporting codes, will also be allowed to use the facility and use it as a community project.

 

The facility will include a Conference Room, an Administration, a gymnasium with its ablution block on the ground floor, and a 20 room accommodation facility on the 1st floor, which will have the capacity to accommodate up to 100 heads at any 1 time. Other sporting codes will be housed in the facility as well.
