Gurias Surprise Return

Quietly slipping back into the country, the Agmark Gurias, accompanied by their coaching staff, returned from Sydney, Australia.

The Gurias transited to Kokopo after arrival, headed straight back into training and are preparing for the 2014 Digicel Cup.

It was a humbled, but determined Agmark Gurias outfit that quietly slipped back into the country before transiting to Kokopo.

The Gurias took on the New South Wales side pre-dominated by NRL reserved players for the Canterbury Bulldogs, who went down fighting, 54 to 16 at full time.

Gurias Coaching staff agreed with the recent sentiments by current Coach of the SP PNG Hunters, Michael Marum.

Mental toughness is one area that they will have to address to fully equip their footballers before the season commences.

The initiative was to expose players and coaching staff to different styles of rugby and competition levels, to uncover areas of their strength and weaknesses.
