Coasters U19 took on a strong Badili Wanderers side in the Port Moresby competition, determined to remain on top spot.
The boys from Badili secured a first innings target of one hundred and sixty four, after twenty overs, and looked set for victory.
But a good fight back from Coasters led by Kevau Gasi, achieved thirty five runs to steer them back in. However, superb fielding from the Wanderers restricted Coasters’ runs.
Bowler Oala James reached a record, three for twelve runs after four overs. In the end, it was too much for Coasters, Wanderers won the match by forty four runs.
To softball, PNG Power maintained their good run of form in the Corporate Slow Pitch Softball competition taking on a strong Inter-oil team.
Having beaten pool A leaders Remington Raskals the previous week, Power were out to prove that win was not a fluke and took the match by the scruff of the neck.
Leading by ten four heading into the last innings, they were able to restrict Inter-oil to only one run with good outfield cover and strong base catching, contributing to their win.

Pool A leaders, Remington Raskals who lost to PNG Power the week before Remington beat the NDB team by 11 runs to four to see Remington Progress to the grandfinal in the cup, against ANZ.
Gulf giants took on a strong Gordon Kokofas outfit in the A-reserve match at Amini Park.
Miairi Eagles 12 defeat Magani 8, Hawks on 24 against Brothers six and Butterflies 16 beat Kone Tigers 12.
The Trukai fun run attracted thousands of participants on Sunday morning.
The money raised will support the 140 contingents to 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and the Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China next month. And among the fun run participants was the 2015 Pacific Games official mascot, Tura the Kokomo.
