Moale Youths Re-Commit to Christ

Youths at Moale village in the Northern Province have been urged to be better citizens to contribute to the development of their communities.

Many of them have recommitted their lives in a baptism service at the Moale Ebenezer Harvest Centre recently.

The center has become a haven of hope for many disadvantage youths and families in Moale village.

Moale Village is part of the Sangara Estate, owned by Higaturu Oil Palm in the Northern Province.

It has a population of more the 500 people. Many of them are harvesters who work for Higaturu Oil Palm.

They live in a two-bedroom house and earn about K150 fortnightly.

Despite the challenges, they are resilient in their efforts to bring about change.

In 2011 they started the Moale Ebenezer Harvest Center to fulfill their mission of bringing change to their community.

On New Year’s day, they conducted their first baptism for their youths and congregation members.

Church Elder, John Yaki, says spiritual development is vital for change.

Drug and alcohol abuse is rife among youths and the center has not only become a place of worship, but a haven of hope for affected youths.

It is hope that funds will be secured through the generous support of individuals to complete the walls of the church and pastor’s house.
