Last weekend proved to be a success for Hekari United FC, as they managed to dominate in the last minute, and come away with a win against Morobe FC.
Hekari FC will be going through serious preparations to retain their title as the NSL Champions for the ninth time.
It was a match worth watching as Morobe FC put up a fight against the reigning champions. Head coach, Jerry Allen remains optimistic, given the team’s weak performance.
Going in for their ninth championship, the boys are confident, yet poised about this coming weekend’s match.
It was an unfortunate result for experienced campaigners, Morobe FC, as they missed their opportunity to make the Grand Final.
Assistant Coach, Charlie Somasi was merely disappointed, but proud of the team’s overall effort.
With lots of room for improvement, the Hekari FC team will undergo an intense week of training with hope to complete the season on a high note.
This weekend’s match will not only determine the champions of 2014, but will be an opportunity for Hekari FC to qualify for the Oceania Champions League in Suva, next year.
