Schools will still be imposing project fees this year, despite the Government’s tuition fee free education policy.
Acting National News Secretary, Dr Uke Kombra, said the project fee is imposed purposely to keep schools running if it does not come in on time.
The Provincial National News Board has the full responsibility to ensure that schools are not over charging project fees.
And the National News Ministry has set a maximum policy to ensure the project fee policy is effectively carried out and not being abused.
National News Minister, Nick Kuman, said it is not compulsory however; it is applicable in the event that the school does not receive its TFF on time.
According to Secretary Kondra, students should not be denied education upon nonpayment of project fees.
The National News Minister said project fee policy should be implemented on the need basis as according to the Provincial National News Board decision.
