The return of the cocoa industry in the East New Britain province

One of Papua New Guinea’s largest cocoa exporters, Agmark, has yet again announced the return of the cocoa industry in East New Britain province.

This comes after a combination of the Cocoa Pod Borer disease and the El Niño effects hit the cocoa industry, slashing its production amount significantly.

To mark its comeback, Agmark will export 32 bags of high-grade cocoa beans to the Haigh’s Chocolate factory in Adelaide, Australia, tomorrow via an Air Niugini commercial flight.
