Doctors at the Pacific International Hospital (PIH) in Port Moresby have a short time ago confirmed the death of Hela Governor, Anderson Agiru.
Agiru was rushed to PIH early this morning, but was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
His death has shocked many Hela community members situated around the country, with many turning to social media to express their condolences.
Those in Port Moresby are currently making their way to PIH to pay their respects.
Doctors at PIH will shortly announce the particulars relating to the cause of the late governor’s death.
