Imbonggu MP, Pila Niningi announces recovery from COVID-19

In light of his prolonged treatment for COVID-19, member for Imbonggu, Pila Niningi has revealed in a statement that he has fully recovered from the disease.

MP Niningi thanked Dr Kari Seki and his team of health workers at the Port Moresby General Hospital in giving him the required care and treatment that saw the recovery and treatment of the condition he was presented with.

The MP is urging all other citizens of Papua New Guinea to take care of themselves and adhere to rules and guidelines put forward by doctors and other medical health professionals to ensure the health and safety of their families and communities.

MP Niningi said he had endured the treatment for three gruesome months and would not like any other person to go through what he had.

He thanked the CEO of Port Moresby General Hospital, Dr Paki Molumi and his team of medical staff for their continued and tireless effort in ensuring the health and safety of the general public is maintained.

He said while the Government is banking on patient-focus, improved quality on lower costs and reaching out to some of the world’s best medical practices and strategies in the fight against COVID-19, the people to must do their part in observing the COVID-19 protocols.
