The Gordons Minor Crime Unit in the National Capital District arrested and charged three suspects for being in possession of illicit drugs.
The officer in charge (OIC) of the Gordons Minor Crime, Senior Sergeant Apollos Terry said the three suspects were caught allegedly with various quantities of marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine at the Vadavada Lodge in Port Moresby last week.
He added that the suspects also allegedly had a set of precision tools suggesting the substances were being mixed, distilled and brewed for use. They also had syringes, test tubes and other accessories as well, according to Senior Sergeant Terry.
“One of the suspects was a female from a Highlands Province, another male from the Manus Province and the third, a male of Irish-Tongan descent.
On August 10 (the same week), EMTV News reported a case where a bag of Marijuana was confiscated at Boroko market gate as it was making its entrance into the market among vegetable bags.
