Education Minister, Nick Kuman, says a funding of K100 million will be accessible next week by schools around the country. In a statement, Minister Kuman said the funding will be paid into school accounts for those that receive TFF funding.
All schools have been urged to submit their census forms to be included.
Minister Kuman says schools must liaise with the Provincial TFF Coordinator in order to get the right amount of funding. The K100million was not specified if it was for 2017 or for this year.
Mr Kuman reminded all the Provincial Education Boards and schools in the National Education System to accept and enrol students on the first day of school without charging any fees.
The Minister also called on the provinces to forward their schools’ census forms on time to be included. Most importantly, provinces need to ensure all data is entered accurately.
“I would like to remind the schools and their administrations once again to use the money wisely and only on areas that will improve the teaching and learning in the classroom,” said Minister Kuman.
