37-year-old Boino lands Gold

PNG hurdle specialist, Moen Mowen Boino struck again with another Gold medal finish in the Men’s 400m hurdles at the Pacific Mini Games in Vanuatu.

Boino clocked in a time of 52.44 seconds, and was followed closely by teammate Ephraim Lerkin, in a time of 53 seconds, to settle for Silver.

In the women’s 800m final, Poro Gahekave and Tuna Tine won silver and bronze, respectively.

PNG scooped up the medals in the women’s long jump, with Rellie Kaputin winning gold and setting a new Pacific Games record in the process, while team mates Annie Topal and Adrine Monagi begged bagged silver and bronze.

In the men’s high jump, Peniel Richard cleared 2 meters on the bar for a silver medal finish.
