Education Minister Nick Kuman told Parliament yesterday Tuition Free Fee Funds will be paid before Term 2 begins.
Minister Kuman said the balance of K37 million will be paid.
Kuman said, the current economic struggle has slowed down the payout to schools around the country.
Despite reiterating that the TFF Policy is functioning positively, Northern Governor Gary Juffa denounced the implantation of the Policy. He says, some schools are pushed to the extreme by forcing parents to pay certain fees.
According to Minister Kuman, a total of K105 million has been paid to schools for 2017.
The balance of K37 million remains.
Minister Kuman made these statements following questions by South Bougainville MP, Timothy Masiu, over delayed payments of TFF Funds to schools in Bougainville.
Schools are now in their 9th Week with only two weeks left before Term 2 begins.
