Krakumun Nindipari Road in East Sepik Province Opened

A new road access will connect two villages of West Yangoru in the Yangoru-Saussia District.

Krakumun and Ninidipari, villages of the West Yangoru Local Level Government, will now access government services for the first time after 20 years.

The 20-kilometre stretch was built at a cost of K200,000 using the District Services Improvement Support and Project Grants.

It was built by local contractor, Hisik Limited and the East Sepik Provincial Works Department.

Local MP, Richard Maru officiated at the ribbon cutting ceremony to open the road on Thursday.

He urged people to take ownership by looking after this important government service.

Similar road projects are underway for Holik to Warabung villages.
