Elizah Wins Grand Prize in Vocal Fusion’s Season 4

Winner of EMTV’s Vocal Fusion Competition 2016, Elizah Jnr. Elizah, walked away with keys to the latest Toyota Hilux 6th Element courtesy of Ela Motors.

Elizah, 22, put up a crowd pleasing performance against four equally talented contestants landing him in first place by night’s end; an achievement he said he was not expecting by a long shot.

The 22-year-old’s reaction to the grand announcement last night said it all.

Still overcome by disbelief, Elizah was officially handed over the keys to his vehicle by Vocal Fusions’ Grand final prize sponsors Ela Motors.

“We (Ela Motors) agreed to sponsor the (Vocal Fusion) segment based on certain objectives, one was that the participants were local talents,” said Ela Motors spokesperson and Marketing Manager, James Moveh.

Elizah who ironically does not know how to drive, when presented with the option to trade the next generation Toyota Hilux valued at a hundred and thirty four thousand kina for cash said:

“My plan is to take the car. I worked hard for it so I will take it. I don’t want the cash…”

The 22-year-old lad, from East New Britain, grew up a long way from home in Madang’s most notorious neighborhoods; popularly associated with the route 26 bus stop.

He has just finished his grade 12 at Tusbab Secondary School and aspires to be a male nurse in the future.

Aside from that, he plans to further his career in music with songs that inspire change in his community.

“Singing is my life, I will continue to sing,” he said.

Also notable in the competition, was first runner up McSteve Polly, who walked away with K20,000 and a year’s recording contract with Paradise Beverages.

Taking third place was the only duet to ever make it to the grand finals so far – NJay who bagged K10,000 in cash prize.

Finishing in fourth place with K5,000 was Mary Magdalene Bolokon.
