Teams around the country are already gearing up, with less than three and a half months remaining till the 7th PNG Games in Kimbe.
While teams like Lae, Alotau, East and West New Britain and the rest of the provinces are in preparation, NCD Team Manager, Kila Dick, last week said, Team NCD will need roughly K2 million to cover costs for logistics, food and other necessary expenses.
Two years ago in the 6th BSP PNG Games in Lae, NCD and East New Britain had both been expected to prove their mettle against other favourites, but they failed to live up to expectation.
Defending champions, Morobe Province are still expected to be a threat in Kimbe, while third placed Central are also expected to be strong contenders.
