42nd National Volleyball Championship Begins Monday

NCD coaches, athletes and officials are finally ready to take part in the 42nd National Volleyball Championships.

The teams will represent their association, with 12 participating teams, consisting of 3 under 21 men’s and women’s teams, and 3 senior men’s and women’s teams.

The competition will start with Under 21 men’s and women’s competition and will end on Wednesday with the closing ceremony and medal presentations and then followed by senior men’s and women’s division on Thursday.

The event will see 12 associations around the country, including NCD and Central.

PNG Volleyball Federation Secretary, Kila Oli, said the main aim of the week long tournament is for the federation to select the national team.

Oli added, participating provinces in the PNG Games, will also be given an opportunity to select top players from the national Champion, to represent their province next year in March, in Kimbe.
