It is now likely that Samoa will be the host of the 2019 Pacific Games.
This follows the visit of the Games Council President, Vidyha Lakhan, and CEO, Andrew Minogue’s visit to Samoa, for evaluation.
President Lakhan, said being one of the three countries that have expressed interest to play host since Tonga pulled out of hosting duties in May, Samoa so far is the only country with fitting infrastructure to host.
Although official announcement will be made early September.
For now, Samoa is looking at refurbishing their available infrastructure and make it games ready.
